How Can We Help?
The prospect of foreclosure strikes fear in the hearts of homeowners -- and for good reason. The United States in general and Florida in particular lacks an effective safety net for our citizens. Although, there may be a few opportunists who have taken advantage of a free ride, most people facing foreclosure would like nothing more than to regain the feeling of safety and security they once enjoyed. We can't promise to save your home. And we can't promise that we can forever keep the wolves from the door. But -- we can promise that we can help you explore the best possible option for your circumstances.
It always makes me sad to know how many people do nothing when served with the Lis Pendens and Foreclosure Complaint. I'm not sure if homeowners are hoping to wake up from the nightmare, or if they convince themselves that the sheriff bringing them the papers is the end of the story and somehow nothing is really going to happen. Others, instead of positive action, fall apart in panic. Neither reaction saves your house, stops a foreclosure or even slows it down. Reaction is required.
Option II - Call an Attorney
This may be the exactly right option for many. The only viable option and perhaps the best. However, many homeowners cannot afford to retain an attorney, and if they could afford attorney fees, they would have been able to pay the mortgage to begin with and would not be facing foreclosure at all.
